A Lesson From KC

DO NOT EAT YELLOW SNOW.

Let It Snow!

Boy did it snow yesterday! All day it snowed! Brian and I watched the weather channel from Thurday night and all day Friday. This morning Brian ran out and measured 4 inches!

KC and I went to check on the girls... we didn't see them out but heard some movement inside.

Rose starts to peek her head out, then tests the ground.

The other girls decide that inside is the place to be.

After a couple of minutes, KC believes the girls are right... INSIDE IS THE PLACE TO BE!

"Love" Cards

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I've been creating "Love" cards!

I had this wonderful angel wrapping paper that I held on to for years.

It was the wrapping paper on a gift from a friend and I just loved the paper... and the gift!

I recycled the paper by cutting out the angels and using various scape paper that I had.

It's like I'm in third grade again cutting out shapes. I love making cards!

SPREAD THE LOVE!

Lights, Camera, Action!

I was working on a video shoot yesterday in Columbia Tennessee... a 13 hour work day! I like days like that, crazy I know! It breaks up the normal work week.

I'll get back to "Farm" news tomorrow. Everyone have a great day and stay warm!

Dorna McDonald May

Last Friday my friend Cindi and I went to a art show for Dorna McDonald May. The show was being held at the Nashville Jazz Workshop downtown by the river.

I never had the pleasure and honor of meeting Dorna. She was the wife of one of our client/friend of where I work. Bo May (her husband) and Duncan May (her son) are both wonderful people. The whole family is just awesome.

Dorna was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in January 2007 and passed away November 30 of 2009. I couldn't image the pain she went through but she some how painted on the canvas. Her paintings were so full of emotions that Cindi and I cried. This painting she did of herself... the real Dorna, healthy Dorna.

Some other paintings of hers... just amazing...

I encourage you to please visit her website at: http://www.dornamay.com/

Rainy Thursday

It rained most the day yesterday, so far all of today and I think it's suppose to rain tomorrow too. The puppies will probably be held up in the dog house all day. Here KC peeking his head out... oh, by the way, he's doing great since Monday's vet visit.

KC's head went right back in and then Bubba's head come to check things out...

I told Brian that we will have to build a bigger and better dog house this spring. One with a porch, second story and... kitchen... that was Tootie's idea.

Me, on the other hand, got stuck in traffic on the way into work but I was listening to Melody Gardot's "Worrisome Heart." Jazz on a rainy day... makes it worth while.

CupCake Tree on Etsy.com

This is a shout out to Olga with CupCake Tree! She has been so wonderful to me! Her stamps are the cutest!! Olga had this rooster stamp which I thought was perfect for us... great for the labels for the girls eggs.

Olga hand carves each one with love and you can customize your stamp with your name on it... she did the "Seehafer Farm" for us.

I started using the rooster stamp for all our stuff we make here!

Olga also had this art stamp and...

she carved on there for me... "made by angie" which I now put on the back of all my cards I make. I LOVE IT!! Move over Hallmark!

Please go visit Olga's website on etsy... you'll love her stamps! I do!!

KC's Big Day!

KC is about 6 months old now. He's growing like a weed! Brian calls him "little pony" and I call him "little bear." I'm sure he's really confused!

Today is a big day! KC is on his way to VetMed to get neutered. The face says it all here... love the big brown eyes!

The lick was a last ditch effort for KC. He's working it but mom stood strong!

You're in good hands KC. I'll be there right after work to pick you up!

Getting Ready!

Brian and I dragged the "growing" shelf into the kitchen from the garage... we also did this last year... it helps us with the winter blues. We've got grow lights attached to the top shelf and bottom shelf. There's lots of room for plants! Plus, I've got an Aero Garden for my herbs.

We started getting seed catalogs too! Need that time to prepare for Spring!

Are we there yet?!?!?!

A New Year

This year is going to be different for Brian and I. We are going to start working towards our dreams. The first big dream is becoming farmers! That will happen someday... we're practicing right now!

One of my dreams is to start painting again (haven't painted anything since 2004... a house, yes but not on canvas!)

These are some of the paintings I did in 2004...

all were given away but one... sold this one...

this one went to my best friend's mom (I love Joyce dearly and she loves birds)...

this mural is on the wall of my nephew's bedroom... maybe not now but when he was little, he had something to look at when his diapers were being changed!...

I did paint this one at Christmas 2009. It was a gift for my two best friends. They put it in their front room... I'm very honored. Thank you guys.

"Tug-O-Tootie"

This daily ritual starts out very innocent but then...

ears are being pulled... Tootie's ears!

Bubba gets an ear and KC gets the other...

then, the barking begins...

and even more barking...

That's our new daily ritual here at the Seehafer farm. Fun isn't it?!?!?
